What is dayparting?
Dayparting is the practice of dividing the broadcast day into several parts, in which a different type of radio playlist/station/genre aires for that time period.
Rockbot supports dayparting both by day of week and time of day.
In deciding whether or not to set up dayparting, you will want to consider if you would like your music to vary during the day. If you decide that you DO want to set up dayparting, you will have the ability to set it up by the time of day or the day of the week.
Typically you want to shift your music based off of the type of customers you have if they vary during the day or week. If you have a slightly more mature crowd during the 9-5 that needs more classic rock, then it needs to get a little edgier from 5pm-10pm with pop, then EDM from 10pm-2am? We can do that.
How do I set it up?
Click the clock icon that says 'Set Times'. You will have a pop-up window appear and will see options to adjust when each playlist goes live.
