Sonos when wired or wireless can use a large amount of bandwidth from your network, especially when using an AUX input. The Sonos systems need to retransmit your audio to all speakers individually. We recommend ensuring that all your speakers are hardwired for its AUX input to work consistently.
There are a few things you can do to get a more reliable connection.
- Turn on the AUX Input Compression to ON in your advanced settings on your Sonos Controller. This reduces the amount of bandwidth required and generates a small buffer to help with your network bandwidth issues
- Change the wifi communication channel that SonosNet is operating on if the wifi channel has a lot of traffic on it can cause the SonosNet connection to timeout
