With hundreds of expertly curated playlists, an improved browsing experience and updated scheduling interface, building your brand's sound is easier than ever.
Finding the right playlist
Browsing by genre
While on the Rockbot dashboard, you can search for playlists by your favorite genre. Simply, navigate to Music > Your Stations on the dashboard. When there, click on Add Playlist for the station that you will be updating. A pop-up (see below) will appear with a selection of your favorite genres. Once you select a genre, a list of Rockbot curated playlists within that genre will appear. You can add as many playlists as you'd like to your stations.
Browsing by categories
Rockbot has made selecting playlists that much easier with categories. While you are selecting a playlist for your station, you will see categories such as Popular at Venues Like Yours and Upbeat and Energetic. These categories are aimed at helping you easily select a playlist that has been proven to work at venues in your vertical or in venues that tend to have the same energy level as yours.
While you are in Add Playlist pop-up, you will see a magnifying glass icon on the right hand side of the pop-up. Simply click on that icon to search playlists. You can search by artists or genres.
By navigating to the Your Music section of the playlist pop-up, you will see all playlists that you have added to Rockbot. If you would like to create a new playlist, simply click on the Create Playlist button and follow the on-screen instructions.
You can preview any playlist on Rockbot by drilling down on the playlist and selecting the Preview button. You will hear brief clips of songs within the playlists to ensure it fits the vibe you are trying to create within your venue.
Editing your station
Setting playlist hours
While in the Your Stations section of Music, you will see all stations and playlists you have selected and/or created. If a playlist needs to play at a certain time of day, click on the Set Times button within the station. You will see all playlists scheduled for that station and you can toggle the times each one plays. Please note that you will want at least one playlist to play at all hours of operation.
Updating playlist priority
Rockbot defaults all playlists to a normal priority; however, you may want one playlist to play more (or less) often. To prioritize a playlist, select the priority on the right hand of the playlist (playlists default to Normal Priority). You will have the option to Play Songs More Frequently or Play Songs Less Frequently.
Creating a new station
Your daily mix of music is dictated by the station set to run that day. If you need to create a different musical vibe for a particular day (or days) of the week, you can simply create a new station. By clicking on the settings wheel icon on Default Station, you will be able to select Create New Station from the pop-up screen. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete setup.
Browse existing stations
At the top bar of the Music section, you can toggle between all stations you have created. You will easily be able to see which stations play on which days and the playlists that populated those stations.
