Your Rockbot Media Player can automatically start and stop every day at specified times. This feature is limited to the Rockbot Player; the web player, mobile player, and Sonos players require a manual start and stop.
Creating a new Audio Hours schedule
To create a new Audio Hours schedule, navigate to the Audio Hours tab under Settings & More. From the Audio Hours tab, click “+Create New” in the upper right.
After either creating a new schedule or choosing to edit an existing schedule, the schedule details page will open, where hour intervals for each day of the week can be established.
Deleting an Audio Hours schedule
An audio hours schedule cannot be deleted while the schedule is still applied to any zones.
-
A zone must always have a schedule applied, which means that to delete a schedule that is currently applied to one or more zone(s), one must apply a different audio hours schedule to any zones the schedule to be deleted is already applied to.
Manual Playback
Users with the correct permissions may manually start and stop playback at zones, even when outside of the time intervals defined on the zone’s applied audio hours schedule. A player continues to receive start and stop commands according to the defined time intervals for its audio hours schedule after playback is started or stopped manually. This means if a user starts the player outside of a defined playback interval, it will stop at the end of the following interval. If a user stops the player within a defined playback interval, it will start at the beginning of the following interval.
Temporary Stop
When a user begins a temporary stop, audio will remain off for the duration of the stop, even if the duration of the stop overrides the next start interval from the zone’s audio hours schedule.
Audio will resume when the temporary stop duration has elapsed and the zone reaches the start of the next set interval.
