BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Share the Rockbot Network Requirements with your IT Team/ISP. These requirements include the services and URLs that must be allowed so the Player can connect to Rockbot servers.
What’s in the Box?
- 1 Rockbot Media Player
- 1 Micro SD card (inserted in the player)
- 1 power adapter
- 1 10ft Cat6 Ethernet cable
- 1 6ft 3.5mm to RCA cable
Setup Instructions
Step 1 — Ensure all cables are securely connected:
- Ethernet cable connected to modem, router, or switch
- Audio or HDMI cable connected to the correct input
- The power cable is connected last.
Step 2 — Open Setup Page
Go to setup.rockbot.com and confirm that no account is logged in.
Step 3 — Enter Serial Number
Enter the serial number located on the bottom of the Player to locate the correct Zone.
Step 4 — Start Setup
Select Start Player Setup.
If prompted, choose Start Wired Player Setup.
Step 5 — Follow On-Screen Prompts
Continue through the setup steps using the on-screen arrows (>).
Step 6 — Confirm Connection
A confirmation message will appear once the Player is connected. Playback should begin within 20 minutes after setup is complete.
Troubleshooting Tips
If no audio or content plays after 20 minutes:
- Confirm the Player has power (look for a solid red or green light)
- Check that the Micro SD card is fully inserted
- Test audio using wired headphones or earbuds
- Confirm the amplifier or receiver is set to the correct input and the volume is turned up
