Can Rockbot Stream Through a Bluetooth Speaker?

When streaming Rockbot from the Rockbot Remote App or dashboard.rockbot.com, you can use a Bluetooth speaker. However, Bluetooth is not recommended to achieve the best audio quality and fidelity.

NOTE: Rockbot Players are not Bluetooth compatible. 

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data between fixed and mobile devices over short distances using short-wavelength UHF radio waves in the industrial, scientific, and medical radio bands, from 2.400 to 2.485 GHz, and building personal area networks.

 

Required:

Option 1: Mobile device Option 2: Web Player

WiFi

WiFi or ethernet connection

Phone or Tablet (iOS or Android)

Web browser (Chrome most compatible)

Step 1: Download the Rockbot Remote App

  • This app controls the music at your venue. Log in with your Staff account.

Step 1: Log into dashboard.rockbot.com

  • On a non-mobile device, use your Staff account to log into Rockbot.

Step 2: Turn on Bluetooth

  • Find your computer's Bluetooth settings and ensure Bluetooth is enabled

Step 3: Pair Devices

  • Ensure the Bluetooth speaker is powered on and in Discoverable mode.
  • Launch the Settings app on the mobile device.
  • Select the speaker you want to pair with.

Step 3: Pair Devices

  • Ensure the Bluetooth speaker is powered on and in Discoverable mode.
  • Open the Bluetooth settings for your computer.
  • Select the speaker you want to pair with.

Step 4: Start Rockin'

  • Once the mobile device has been paired with the Bluetooth speaker, open the Rockbot Remote App, log in, and hit Play!

Step 4: Start Rockin'

  • Once the computer has been paired with the Bluetooth speaker, go to dashboard.rockbot.com and hit Play!
