If your use of music falls outside of the scope of the Rockbot license you should contact the PROs directly to acquire the proper additional licenses:
Contact your industry trade organization to see if they have negotiated discounts for any additional licensing. Some of the organizations that have discounts include the National Restaurant Association, state restaurant associations, the Bowling Proprietor's Association of America (BPAA), and the International Health, Racket, and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA).
What are the most common scenarios that put a commercial establishment outside of the scope of Rockbot’s license coverage?
- Your facility offers music or other audio via cable TV or other TV sources.
- You offer instructed fitness classes that are coordinated with music or various dance activities (Zumba, ballet, etc).
- You have events where a live band or DJ performs music in your establishment, even if rarely.
- Your business’s employees utilise music from another source, such as a CD player, record player, or a consumer music service like Spotify, Apple Music, or Pandora. Consumer music streaming services do not include any permissions or licenses for commercial business use.
