Yes, background music services like Rockbot Music do not provide licenses for music played on your televisions, whether the TVs are playing broadcast TV or an internet music video site such as Vevo or YouTube. All PROs require that you obtain a direct license to cover music played on your televisions. Rockbot TV is the only Rockbot service that includes television content licensing, and Rockbot TV’s licensing only covers the Rockbot TV service itself. If you always keep your TVs on mute with zero volume, you may not need an additional license; However, PROs often send representatives to businesses unannounced to detect whether volume is audible.
