This guide helps you use the Sonos app to play Rockbot music directly on your speakers. The Sonos app lets you control playback, while Rockbot enables you to manage the music (playlists, volume, etc.).
What you will need:
- An existing Rockbot business subscription (sign up here)
- A Sonos speaker system and an active Sonos account
- Your phone or tablet and Sonos system connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- A separate Rockbot account for each location (recommended for multi-location businesses)
To add Rockbot to your Sonos Controller App on a phone or tablet, please follow the SONOS instructions for adding a music service:
- Open the Sonos app.
- Go to the Account menu.
- Select Content Services.
- Under Connected Services, select Add Content Service.
- Choose ROCKBOT to add and select Add to Sonos.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the service to your Sonos system. (You will need your Rockbot Staff login credentials.)
Note: A Sonos Enhanced subscription is required if you plan to use the Music Hours Start/Stop feature or Smart Volume control for your Sonos. Learn More.
How do I control the music from my Dashboard?
Once your Sonos and Rockbot accounts are linked, you can control the music from the dashboard.rockbot.com just as you would for any Rockbot music subscription. If you are a staff member at a location that uses Sonos integration, your account must have Audio permissions in order to control the music. Learn More.
