Setting Up Rockbot Amazon Signage Stick

Who this is for

Anyone setting up a Signage Stick that shipped directly from Rockbot, or through Rockbot's branded Amazon Marketplace bundle, already preloaded with Rockbot.

Before you begin

• Your Signage Stick and in-box accessories: USB power cable, power adapter, Signage Stick remote, and (optional) HDMI extender cable
• A TV or display with an available HDMI port
• A mobile device with internet access, to scan the activation QR code
• A password-protected WiFi network — open or browser-authenticated networks aren't supported during setup
• Access to your Rockbot Dashboard

Set up your Signage Stick

1. Connect the Signage Stick — Plug the Signage Stick into an available HDMI port on your TV or display, then connect the included power cable and power adapter to a wall outlet.
2. Turn on your TV or display — Select the HDMI input connected to your Signage Stick.
3. Connect to WiFi — The screen shows a No Network Connection prompt. Using the Signage Stick remote, select WiFi Setup, then select your network and enter your WiFi password.

   

4. Activate Rockbot — Rockbot launches automatically and displays an activation code and QR code.

   

   Scan the QR code with your phone's camera to activate automatically, or go to rockbot.com/amazon, log in to your Rockbot Dashboard, and enter the activation code manually. Then select the Zone you want to link to this Signage Stick.

   

Your Amazon Signage Stick is now activated with Rockbot.

✅ Tip: Your Signage Stick remote is only needed during initial setup or if you need to change your WiFi settings later. Once setup is complete, label the remote and store it somewhere easy to find, like behind the TV or in a nearby drawer. It can't be replaced with another device's remote, including a Fire TV remote — if it's lost or damaged, contact Amazon at signage-support@amazon.com for a replacement.

Move your Stick to a different Zone

You don't need to reset the device to move it.

1. Go to rockbot.com/link.
2. Find the Signage Stick.
3. Unlink it from its current Zone.
4. Follow the activation steps above to link it to the new Zone.

Fully reset and reassign a Stick

For example, when replacing hardware or moving it to a different Rockbot account:

1. Factory reset the Stick — at signage.amazon.com/support/device-management.
2. Follow the setup steps in Installing Rockbot on Your Amazon Signage Stick to reinstall Rockbot and re-link it to the correct Zone — that article will take you the rest of the way.

Setting up more than one Signage Stick at once

Using the Rockbot Remote App, multiple Signage Sticks can be activated in sequence, provided they're connected to the same WiFi network. When assigning Zones, double-check each Stick is linked to a different Zone — linking two Sticks to the same Zone will cause one to overwrite the other.

Troubleshooting

My Signage Stick won't connect to WiFi.

Confirm your network is password-protected — open WiFi networks aren't supported during setup.

I don't see the location I need when assigning my Signage Stick.

Your Rockbot user access may be scoped to specific Zones. Ask your account admin to confirm your Zone-level access.

Can I use a Fire TV Stick remote instead?

No — the Signage Stick remote can't be swapped with another device's remote, including a Fire TV remote.

My Signage Stick is stuck on "application download 0%" and never finishes.

Try a factory reset at signage.amazon.com/support/device-management, then repeat setup. If it still won't progress, contact Rockbot Support.

What temperature range does the Signage Stick need?

The Signage Stick has the narrowest operating temperature range of any Rockbot-compatible hardware — 0–35°C (32–95°F). Avoid mounting it somewhere unconditioned, like an attic space or an enclosure near a heat source.
