| Quick Answer: Rockbot runs directly on Samsung QBC, QMC, and QHC displays. Find your model number, confirm it’s one of these three series, then activate it at rockbot.com/tizen using the code shown on your display. |
Who this is for
Anyone with a Samsung commercial display who wants to check whether it can run Rockbot directly, and activate it if so.
|
🚪 In the wrong place? • Already confirmed your display is supported and ready to learn about your deployment options? Go to Choosing the Right Samsung Setup for Rockbot. • Setting up a wired player instead of a Samsung display? Go to Setting Up Your Wired Player. |
Before you begin
• Someone will need physical access to the display to open App Management and view its activation code
• You’ll need a Rockbot account with permission to link a device at this specific location — if you’re not sure your account has this, check with whoever manages your Rockbot account, or contact Rockbot Support
• The display must be powered on and connected to your network
Step 1 — Find your display’s model number
Check either of these:
• The label on the back or bottom of the display panel
• On-screen: Menu → System Information → Software Version (also shows your Tizen OS version)
Step 2 — Confirm your model is supported
| Supported | Not supported |
| QBC, QMC, QHC series (Tizen OS 5.0 or higher) | BE / BED-H series, QMB series, and any device on Tizen OS 4.5 or below |
If your model isn’t listed, you can still use Rockbot on that display with an external media player — see “Setting Up Your Wired Player,” or contact your Rockbot account rep if you’d like help choosing a setup.
Step 3 — Activate your display
1. On the display, open App Management and install the Rockbot app from tizen.rockbot.com.
2. Activate it — either scan the QR code shown on the display, or go to rockbot.com/tizen and enter the activation code shown on screen.
3. Link the display to the correct venue and zone in your Rockbot Dashboard.
Once linked, orientation and other settings are configurable from the Rockbot Dashboard the same way they are for a standard player.
| ✅ Tip: Content management and campaign scheduling work identically to a standard Rockbot player — there’s no separate workflow to learn. |
How do I unlink a Tizen device?
If you’re moving a display to a different venue or zone, or decommissioning it, unlink it first:
1. Go to rockbot.com/link.
2. Locate the device and select Unlink.
3. The display is now disconnected from its current venue and can be linked to a new one by repeating the activation steps above (Step 3).
What to expect
Once activated, your display appears in your Rockbot Dashboard alongside any other players on your account, with the same content management tools.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
| You get a message saying you’re not a staff member at any Rockbot venue, and can’t enter an activation code | Contact Rockbot Support with your account email and venue name — an agent can complete activation on your behalf. |
| You have admin access, but no zones appear to select during setup | Contact Rockbot Support — this can happen if your access is set at a broader level than the specific location. Support can adjust this for you. |
FAQ
