You can bring Spotify playlists into Rockbot with just a few easy steps. Follow the guide below to connect your account, choose your playlists, and start importing.
Step 1: Start the Import
- Navigate to your venue’s dashboard at dashboard.rockbot.com and sign in.
- On the Music tab, go to Playlists, and click the New Playlist button.
- On the Create Playlist window, click the Start Import button on the right.
- Click Spotify or Apple Music as the music service.

Click Continue to authorize your Spotify or Apple Music account with FreeYourMusic.
- To unlink a Spotify account, Click Here for instructions.
Step 2: Choose Your Playlists
- Search your Spotify account to see all of your playlists.
- You can select up to 5 playlists at a time. (You can always return later to import more.)
- Selected playlists will appear on the right side of the screen.
- Review the number of songs in each playlist before importing. Note: Apple Music playlists do not show song counts before importing – the total will be shown after the import is complete.
Step 3: Review and Import
- Preview the playlists that were selected.
- Choose the owner for each playlist.
- Click Import Now to begin the import process.
- A live progress bar will appear, indicating the number of songs being imported.

If there’s a problem with one of the playlists, “Import failed. Please try again.” will appear.
- If you see this alert, restart the import for that playlist.
If you import just one playlist, you’ll be redirected to view that playlist when it’s done. If you import multiple playlists, you’ll be taken to the Playlists tab with a filter that shows all Spotify-imported or Apple-Music-imported playlists.
Can I Import Playlists from the Remote or the Request App?
Apple Music import is available on both the Remote and the Request apps, as well as the Dashboard
Spotify import is currently available only on the Dashboard.
Why Are Songs Missing After I Imported a Playlist?
Rockbot will only import songs we have in our active catalog and that we can license. Additionally, missing songs could mean that we have the song, but our system is not recognizing the match (ex: the song name or artist name are not 100% the same).
You can click the x of x songs imported to see which songs are imported, have potential matches, or are missing.
When new content is added that matches your missing songs, it will be automatically added to your playlists.
