Rockbot is not the same as most other streaming TV services you may have used, as our platform is purpose-built for businesses. As every business owner or manager knows, keeping your business running smoothly is controlling who has access to what. Our permissions system is designed to be flexible enough for you to customize it to your needs, whether you’re a small business with only one television or a multinational corporation with thousands of them.
Rockbot users may have one or more Roles with a specific set of Permissions that describe what the user is capable of doing. For Rockbot TV, those Roles and Permissions are:
TV Role Permissions
-
Create or Edit Schedules
-

-
Change Channel or Override Schedule
Display Playback Role Permissions (Users with the Marketing or TV role also get Playback role automatically)
-
Display Interactions
-

-

-
-

-

Within those roles, the specific Permissions can be toggled off by your Administrators or by Users with a higher Level Of Access.
The first step in determining what you can do in Rockbot is to check and see what Roles have been applied to your account and what Permissions you have within them. You can find that easily by referencing your Account Admin page in our dashboard.
At the Group level, you can also use the Permissions tab to customize the Permissions of Zone-level users with the same roles as you. This allows higher-level users to easily control what lower-level users within their spheres of responsibility can do.
If you find that you are unable to do something you want to do because your permissions are restricted, you should reach out to your organization’s administrators.
At this time, Permissions are based on your Level of Access within your organization and are not applied directly to individuals. So if you need greater Permissions, your administrator can grant them by raising your Level of Access.
