Multifactor Authentication, or MFA, is a security process that requires two or more verifications to gain access to a system. MFA adds an additional layer of protection and reduces the risk of unauthorized access. Rockbot supports MFA through authenticator apps (such as Google Authenticator), SMS (text message) verification, and Single-Sign On (SSO). Learn how to set up MFA with Rockbot.
Why should my organization use MFA?
MFA substantially reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your Rockbot group. For example, if the password to a Staff User Account was compromised, that account could then be used to harm your organization. Depending on the compromised account’s permissions, this could result in unauthorized changes to your subscriptions or unauthorized content on your Rockbot devices.
With MFA enabled on an account, an unauthorized user would require access to both the account password and the associated MFA method to enter the system (i.e.: their unlocked mobile device).
Rockbot allows groups to enforce MFA usage among all associated Staff Members with one click of a button. Learn More.
